Hi, my name is Nick Taylor and thank you for visiting my website. This website’s purpose is to acquaint you with who I am and how I can help you and your family. Please join me for a brief introduction of my practice.

My business and what I do is quite simple- I help you make sense of your finances. The challenge today for many people is that they do not know where to start. Nowadays, people want and need advice that they can trust and advice that makes sense to them.

  • I help you to clearly identify what you need to do to work towards your financial goals.
  • I develop a roadmap to help you get there and I join you on your journey
  • It is a continual process of planning and attention to your entire financial picture. It is a comprehensive and diligent relationship.
  • Service, accountability, and responsiveness to you are givens. Trust is continually earned and never taken for granted.

You are not working with somebody over the phone who you have never met. You are working with a lifetime member of your community. You are working with someone who cares about you and will meet with you at your kitchen table. You are working with someone who you will see at the supermarket on Sunday mornings.

A quick background of who I am:

Born and raised in Glens Falls, NY with family roots to Glens Falls dating back to 1896. In 1985, my father Nick and grandfather Bud started a family insurance agency which is now Taylor & Leonard on Glen St. in Glens Falls. I have worked in the family business my entire professional life after graduating from Siena College in 2007.

I offer a comprehensive and wide ranging menu of services that are designed to look at the many facets of a client’s financial world:

I first provide you counsel on life insurance, disability, and long-term care insurance needs. Without this base, your financial plan can easily be put into jeopardy. I also review your home, auto, and liability insurance coverage. The last thing that you want is a premature death, disability, lawsuit, or catastrophe to devastate your financial plan. Once these areas are addressed, we can begin to start other areas of planning.

Other areas of planning include general investment planning, education planning, retirement planning, and estate planning strategies- which all are done as part of my affiliation with Equity Services, Inc. as a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative. All of these areas require an extensive look at what you are trying to accomplish and the best ways of working towards those goals. 

I help people answer the following types of questions:

  • What will it take for me to retire?
  • Can I retire now?
  • Will my portfolio last?
  • How much do I need to save to put my child through college?
  • How do I pass on assets to my family in a tax efficient manner?
  • How should I allocate my investments?
  • How much and what type of life insurance should I have?

If you’re a business owner, you will have additional planning needs. Most notably, buy-sell planning, key-person insurance, employee benefits, retirement plans, etc. I can assist in all these areas as well.
