Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®

Designation awarded on 2/19/2014 by the CFP Board of Standards, Inc.

The CFP® marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning.

CFP® professionals also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Rules of Conduct and Financial Planning Practice Standards.

CFP Board is a nonprofit certification organization with a mission to benefit the public by granting the CFP® certification and upholding it as the recognized standard of excellence for personal financial planning. CFP Board owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and federally registered CFP (with plaque design) and CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements. RETIREMENT INCOME CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL®   (RICP®) 

Designation earned 3/1/2019 and awarded by the American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr, PA.

The RICP® designation is a mark of expertise in the field of retirement income planning. Having the RICP® designation means the advisor has a specialized education and knowledge in retirement income. An RICP® is trained to help their clients mitigate the risks they may face in retirement as well as identify planning opportunities.

The RICP® is the nation’s leading credential for building integrated and comprehensive retirement income plans. A key focus is understanding, choosing, and executing a sustainable retirement income strategy from available resources—whether that means using systematic withdrawals from a portfolio, building a retirement income floor with bonds or annuities, or using a bucket strategy.

The program, developed by more than 45 of the nation’s top financial retirement advisors, provides RICP® credential holders with best practices in areas including:

• Social Security claiming

• Evaluating and addressing risks faced in retirement financial planning

• Choosing distributions from employer sponsored retirement financial plans

• Medicare and other health insurance choices

• Choosing appropriate housing

• Retirement income tax and legacy planning
